Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Senior Advising Services Coordinator to lead a team in the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts Center for Student Success.

You will provide comprehensive academic advising, support continuing and prospective students, and coordinate admissions services with a focus on students facing difficult circumstances. supervise staff, manage advising records, and collaborate with the Registrar while utilizing HU information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or work experience related to advising with at least five years in higher education.
• Excellent communication and public speaking abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Advise students individually and in groups on degree requirements and campus resources.
• Coordinate and maintain advising records and serve as liaison with the Registrar.
• Attend meetings and support enrollment and advising platforms.
