Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate complex systems for air transport, regional and military aircraft. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and work on a hybrid schedule from Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities include modeling, simulation, validation of system requirements, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine ECS performance models and simulations for complex air and vapor cycle systems.
• Conduct thermodynamic, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics analyses to optimize system performance.
• Define system and equipment level key performance and generate/validate requirements.
• Create and maintain system level steady state models and document results.
• Coordinate system modeling/development with internal and external stakeholders and manage handoffs.
• Support system integration test activities including test planning and data review.
