Job summary

Ventus Executive Solutions seeks an Advanced Reactor Systems Engineer to support cutting-edge nuclear and mobile microreactor programs. You will serve as the primary technical interface for vendor‑proposed designs, developing detailed familiarity with systems and providing actionable assessments.

You will blend hands‑on systems engineering, technical program management, design integration, and safety evaluation to support FOAK reactor programs and national security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering management, or a related technical field.
• Significant professional experience in nuclear power systems, naval nuclear propulsion, advanced reactor programs, or similarly complex high‑reliability engineered systems.
• Demonstrated systems engineering and/or technical program management experience.
• Experience with requirements management, system integration, technical risk assessment, design evaluation, or related engineering activities.
• Experience interfacing with, overseeing, or managing technical vendors supporting complex engineered systems, capital equipment, or technology development programs.
• Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of complex, ambiguous assignments and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze complex technical information and develop clear, concise assessments, recommendations, briefings, and technical reports for senior government leadership.
• Experience coordinating across government organizations, industry partners, subject‑matter experts, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and manage system interfaces.
• Ability to support program management activities including schedule tracking, risk management, technical performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical interface for vendor‑proposed microreactor and advanced reactor designs.
• Develop detailed familiarity with assigned systems and provide clear, actionable technical assessments.
• Coordinate across government organizations, external SMEs, reactor design companies, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Manage interfaces, track program performance, and maintain momentum for FOAK reactor programs.
