Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Additive Manufacturing technical professional to join the on-site team in West Des Moines, IA. You will operate and maintain advanced AM equipment, support operators, and prepare build files for production and development.

Join our team to troubleshoot complex issues, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Manufacturing and Process Engineering, Maintenance, and OEM experts to deliver high-quality aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience in additive manufacturing environments, aerospace context preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T and model in 3D.
• Experience supporting CNC machining and complex equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment on the shop floor.
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to machine operators.
• Prepare machine build files for production and development.
• Investigate equipment failures with RCCA as needed.
• Monitor OEE and track equipment utilization.
• Develop and update work instructions and process docs.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to resolve issues.
• Maintain operator certifications and support testing/inspections.
