Job summary

Collins Aerospace in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Manufacturing Technician. You will learn calibration operations, set up production equipment, and assemble sub-assemblies under supervision to build flight-critical components.

External applicants may receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Roles are onsite with opportunities to grow through hands-on training and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• You must have a HS diploma; if no HS, 2 years of relevant experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate test stands for quality checks.
• Set up laser markers, printers, and record parameters.
• Certify product conformance through tests and records.
• Assist in disassembly, repair, and assembly per specs.
• Complete production documentation and transitions.
• Support EHS, Quality, and CI guidelines and safety activities.
