Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled welder to support complex instrumentation assembly at our onsite West Des Moines facility. You will perform welding, soldering, and brazing on production parts, while maintaining equipment and following tight quality standards.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED (or 2 years of related experience) and experience with welding in manufacturing. SAP proficiency and a collaborative, safety-focused mindset are valued assets.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; 2 years of relevant experience if no diploma.
• Manufacturing weld experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding, soldering, and brazing on complex parts to drawing requirements.
• Uses shop tools and welding equipment; maintains tools and equipment.
• Ensures quality while meeting production schedules and procedures.
• Advises engineering on welding aspects of new units and fixtures.
• Completes other assembly work as needed and supports CI efforts.
