Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Systems Capability Engineer to lead the development and integration of automated driving technologies at GM sites, including Milford Proving Grounds. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science or work equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of engineering experience with complex electro-mechanical systems.
• 5+ years of technical/engineering experience.
• Understanding of active safety systems, vehicle performance and automated driving technology.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting deliverables.
• Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in or lead a multi-functional development team to ensure alignment with peers and downstream customers.
• Analyze and negotiate requirements with stakeholders during development and integration.
• Be the hands-on end-to-end capability owner testing and integrating System and Feature level capabilities.
• Triage and analyze test data from simulation and vehicle testing to guide prioritization.
• Create test cases to enable a validation plan linked to feature requirements.
• Communicate issues effectively and balance workload as needed.
• Apply structured problem-solving approaches and agile development practices.
