Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Capability Engineer to lead development and integration of automated driving technologies. You will bridge hardware, software, and the driver to define features focused on safety and performance.

The role requires on-site presence three days per week with travel among GM sites, including Milford Proving Grounds. Strong problem solving and agile execution are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–4 years engineering experience with electro‑mechanical systems.
• Minimum 5 years of technical/engineering experience.
• Understanding of active safety systems, vehicle performance and automated driving technology.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in multi-functional teams with software, systems engineering, product management and hardware partners.
• Analyze requirements with stakeholders and ensure feature performance.
• Hands-on end-to-end capability owner for testing and integration in simulation and real vehicles.
• Triage and analyze test data to guide development prioritization and refinement.
• Create test cases and validation plans traced to feature requirements.
• Communicate issues effectively and balance workload in an agile environment.
