Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Integration Engineer in San Jose, CA to lead ADAS/AD integration, measurement systems setup, and vehicle data acquisition. The role collaborates with software, validation, and operations teams to ensure reliable vehicle readiness for development and testing.

Responsibilities include configuring ECUs, sensors, and hardware; deploying software releases; and maintaining measurement setups for validation campaigns. Strong scripting and diagnostics skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automotive software integration, vehicle measurement systems, embedded systems, ADAS/AD development, or vehicle testing.
• Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Python for scripting.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, drivers, and in-vehicle computing.
• Hands-on experience integrating software and hardware into vehicle platforms.
• Knowledge of automotive protocols including CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet.
• Ability to analyze vehicle measurements, diagnostics, and system logs.
• Experience with scripting or programming for automation, integration, or data processing.
• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and deploy ADAS/AD software releases into development and test vehicles.
• Configure, commission, and validate ECUs, sensors, computing platforms, and supporting hardware.
• Perform software flashing, calibration, startup procedures, functional verification, and configuration.
• Manage software versions, dependencies, integration baselines, and vehicle-specific configurations.
• Verify compatibility across software packages, hardware variants, sensors, and vehicle platforms.
• Analyze logs, diagnostics, communication traces, and system behavior to identify issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration problems involving embedded software, operating systems, middleware, ECUs, sensors, and networks.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, integration status, vehicle readiness, and known limitations.
• Develop reusable measurement configurations across vehicles and test programs.
• Support installation and commissioning of prototype and development vehicle hardware.
• Provide technical guidance and setup documentation for engineers and technicians.
• Prepare vehicles and measurement systems for validation programs and test campaigns.
