Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Senior Acute Pharmacy Technician in Queen Creek, AZ. The role supports medication preparation, compounding, distribution, and inventory management while collaborating with pharmacists to ensure safe patient care.

The position requires at least two years of pharmacy technician experience with sterile compounding. It includes mid-shift hours (10:00 AM–9:00 PM) and weekend coverage may be required, with incentive details discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator.

Responsibilities

• Identifies medications and other items for reorder to maintain inventory.
• Manages users within the automated dispensing technology database.
• Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and is customer service oriented with patients and staff.
• May restock automated dispensing technology after pharmacist check using barcode scanning verification devices.
• Compounds non-sterile medication products and adheres to USP guidelines.
