Job summary

Banner Health in Queen Creek, Arizona, seeks a Senior Acute Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, compounding, distribution, and inventory management in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will work closely with pharmacists to ensure safe patient care, including sterile and non-sterile compounding, with responsibilities spanning documentation and patient interaction. Shift hours 10:00 AM–9:00 PM, some weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have Pharmacy Technician licensure or intern licensure in AZ.
• Two years pharmacy technician experience, strong math and customer service.
• Knowledge of medication management software and automated dispensing systems.

Responsibilities

• Package, distribute, and non-sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain inventory, restock medications, verify quantities and invoices.
• Assist in sterile compounding, IV meds, and hazardous drug handling per policy.
• Educate peers and ensure compliance with USP 797/800 where applicable.
