Job summary

Banner Health Corporate is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the evening shift in Phoenix. You will assist with packaging, dispensing, compounding, and inventory management under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring safe and efficient patient care.

The role requires AZ-licensed technician status (or intern) with at least two years of experience, strong math and customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment; periodic evening and weekend hours apply with

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state.
• Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations.
• Strong customer service focus, exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, prioritization capabilities, and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Serve as liaison between customers and pharmacist; use pharmacy systems to respond to medication requests.
• Educate and train peer Pharmacy Technicians and interns as needed.
• Restock medications and manage inventory with accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare compounded sterile and non-sterile IV medications and hazardous drugs per USP guidelines; ensure proper documentation and labeling.
