Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician in Chandler, AZ to join our Pharmacy team. The role involves packaging, distribution, compounding, and intravenous preparation under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include inventory management, accuracy in documentation, and adherence to USP/cGMP standards. Requires technician licensure and 1–2 years of related experience; 40 hours weekly, four 10‑hour shifts, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• 1–2 years of relative experience; good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with staff, physicians, patients and other contacts.

Responsibilities

• Package, distribute and keep records of pharmaceutical supplies under supervision.
• Assist in preparing compounded and IV medications and total parenteral nutrition.
• Educate and oversee Pharmacy Technician staff and volunteers as needed.
• Assist with inventory management, restocking and disposition of pharmaceutical waste.
• Ensure aseptic technique and compliance with USP/cGMP guidelines during compounding.
