Job summary
RTX is seeking a Senior Engineer in Massachusetts to design and support high‑performance actuation systems and motion control for defense applications. You will own system concepts, assist with testing, and collaborate with IPT leads to deliver engineering excellence.
The role requires a STEM background with 5+ years of relevant experience, expertise in control actuation, and familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and dSpace. On‑site work with potential travel and active security clearance is expected.
Qualifications
- Requires a STEM degree and 3–5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with electromagnetic or electrohydraulic actuation systems.
- Advanced understanding of actuation and motion control.
- Existing US DoD security clearance is preferred or required.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions for high‑performance actuation systems and motion control challenges.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight and guide other professionals.
- Support design, test, and integration across product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and IPT leads to deliver results.
- Lead small projects and contribute to systems engineering activities.
