Job summary

Venerable is seeking an AVP, Managing Actuary to lead robust actuarial analyses and strategic insights across in-force management, capital management, and related finance teams. You will collaborate with senior cross-functional colleagues to drive high-quality, actionable results.

The ideal candidate has extensive actuarial experience, strong modeling skills, and the ability to mentor staff while communicating complex concepts to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or related field.
• FSA or Career ASA designation or progress toward.
• 10+ years of actuarial/insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses related to block management, policyholder offerings, assumptions and new business flow.
• Contribute to due diligence of new deal opportunities for in-force and flow (new business).
• Support regulatory research impacting VM-21, RBC and related NAIC initiatives.
• Improve capital and earnings projection models and scenario analyses.
• Drive process efficiency with cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, Risk and IT.
• Mentor junior staff and communicate complex topics to varied audiences.
