Job summary

Athene seeks a senior actuary to join its Product Development team in West Des Moines. You will lead development of annuity products, perform competitive research, build pricing assumptions, and assess profitability and risk across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with actuarial and other teams to translate designs into system specifications, prepare regulatory filings, and apply new technologies and AI tools to accelerate analysis while ensuring compliance and accurate communication

Qualifications

• 6+ years of actuarial experience in the annuity or life insurance industry.
• Experience with fixed annuities, fixed indexed annuities and/or indexed linked annuities.
• Strong actuarial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use AI tools to boost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new annuity product opportunities using research, business-case analysis and actuarial judgment.
• Evaluate product profitability and perform advanced risk analysis with pricing assumptions.
• Support product execution from design through launch by regulatory filings and system specifications.
• Partner across functions to integrate new products into downstream processes.
• Review product and marketing materials for design alignment and risk.
