Job summary

PEMCO is seeking an experienced Actuary in a key role within our Product Development team. You will drive profitability assessments, pricing analyses, and model development while collaborating with business partners to shape insurance products and strategy.

The position emphasizes data-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance, and proactive risk analysis in a dynamic environment at PEMCO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of property casualty actuary experience, with focus on rate-making and personal lines.
• ACAS designation is required.
• Strong technical aptitude and programming experience are essential.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of mathematics, statistics and predictive modeling skills is required.
• Experience with Python, R, SAS and/or SQL is required; Radar/Emblem/ResQ are advantageous.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal loss reserving to track trends and forecast finances.
• Perform advanced pricing analysis and determine rate indications.
• Develop actuarial models using predictive analytics under management guidance.
• Collaborate with business partners on product decisions and impacts.
• Prepare regulatory filings in alignment with objectives and standards.
• Provide feedback on annual forecast and flag emerging risks.
