Job summary

PEMCO is seeking an Actuary to join the Product Development team and drive profitability assessments and product optimization. You will shape financial strategies and leverage data-driven insights to support sustainable growth in personal lines and broader actuarial domains.

The role involves pricing, reserving, modeling, and collaboration with partners to inform product decisions and regulatory filings. Strong programming and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.A./B.S. in Mathematics or equivalent.
• ACAS is required.
• Strong technical aptitude and programming experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel expert.
• Experience with Python, R, SAS and/or SQL.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
• Knowledge of mathematics, statistics and modeling; predictive modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal loss reserving to track and analyze trends.
• Perform detailed pricing analysis and improve rate levels.
• Develop actuarial models with predictive analytics under guidance.
• Collaborate with business partners on product decisions and impacts.
• Prepare regulatory filings in line with objectives and compliance.
• Inform partners about trends and risks via annual forecast feedback.
• Identify issues/trends in actuarial science and act as consultant when needed.
