Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks an experienced actuary to manage the implementation and review of models used for pricing, underwriting, forecasting and reserving. You will develop complex models and mentor others, delivering clear written and oral presentations to support decision making, while coordinating cross-functional projects.

This role requires deep expertise in an actuarial area, ASA/MAAA credentials, and at least four years in health insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or economics.
• ASA designation and MAAA membership required or pursued; compliance with requirements.
• At least 4 years of actuarial experience in health insurance or related field.
• Strong communication skills to prepare documentation and presentations.
• PC proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Manage implementation, maintenance and review of actuarial models and studies.
• Develop models and teach others how to develop models.
• Prepare written and oral presentations to drive decision making.
• Oversee day-to-day projects, including cross-department collaboration.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of one actuarial area or business segment.
