Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation in the United States is seeking an experienced actuary to manage the implementation, maintenance and critical review of models and systems using actuarial principles for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting and other actuarial functions.

You will develop complex models and teach others how to build them, and craft written and oral presentations to inform decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics required.
• ASA and MAAA designations preferred/required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to prepare documentation and present results.

Responsibilities

• Manage implementation, maintenance and critical review/analysis of models, studies and systems using actuarial principles.
• Develop complicated models and teach others how to develop models.
• Prepare written and oral presentations for decision making and manage day-to-day projects that may involve non-Actuarial departments.
