Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking an actuarial analyst to participate in the implementation, maintenance and basic analysis of models and systems using actuarial principles for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting and other actuarial functions.

The role includes running, building and analyzing results of basic models, developing presentation skills, and learning core business and actuarial concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or economics or related field.
• Completion of 3 ASA exam equivalents per SOA Education and Examination System.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in implementation, maintenance and basic analysis of models and systems using actuarial principles.
• Run, build and analyze results of basic models; support pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting.
• Develop oral and written presentation skills and learn core business concepts.
