Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking an experienced actuary to manage the implementation, maintenance and evaluation of models and systems using actuarial principles for pricing, reserving, forecasting and related functions.

The role requires developing written and oral presentations to drive decisions and leading day-to-day projects across departments while demonstrating deep expertise in one actuarial area and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
• ASA and MAAA membership required with compliant designation.
• At least 4 years actuarial experience in health insurance or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication for documentation and presentations.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage implementation, maintenance and review of actuarial models and systems.
• Develop models and create presentations for decision making.
• Lead day-to-day projects that may involve non-actuarial departments.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in at least one actuarial area.
