Job summary

National Life Group seeks an experienced actuary to support design and pricing of indexed and fixed annuity products. You will perform actuarial modeling, assist with regulatory filings, and collaborate with Life & Annuity Solutions, Distribution/Field Leaders, and Marketing to ensure new products align with strategic goals.

This role requires extensive pricing experience, strong analysis, and the ability to mentor analysts.

Qualifications

FSA or career ASA designation from the SOA.
Minimum 6 years actuarial experience with in-depth knowledge of annuity products.
Financial modeling using actuarial software, MG-ALFA preferred.
Working knowledge of valuation, nonforfeiture, tax, RBC and related regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide and discuss pricing results and sensitivity analyses to senior Actuaries and committees.
Present product features and actuarial results to leadership and project teams.
Review experience studies and set pricing assumptions.
Prepare actuarial materials for state approvals and filings.
Prepare or review product specifications and actuarial reports.
Review forms with policy forms team and ensure pricing alignment.
Develop and oversee modeling to set rates and analyze profitability.
Review competitor product features and pricing approaches.
Coordinate with outside actuarial consultants.
Train and mentor actuarial students/analysts.
Support other business areas and advise on broader matters.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
