Pacific Life invites a Senior Actuary (FSA) to join the Enterprise Reinsurance team in Newport Beach, CA. This hybrid role offers four office days weekly with relocation assistance if needed.

Lead strategic reinsurance projects, analyze inforce portfolios, and provide insights to senior management while guiding junior modelers and analysts. Flexible collaboration across underwriting and product design is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years actuarial experience and FSA designation.
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with ambiguity.
• Experience with reinsurance and enterprise risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and execute reinsurance arrangements supported by new business strategy.
• Analyze inforce reinsurance to inform relationships with reinsurers.
• Provide insights to senior management on reinsurance transactions.
• Support quarterly reporting and end-to-end modeling of reinsurance projections.
• Coordinate with underwriting, product design and other teams on reinsurance needs.
