Pacific Life Insurance Company in Newport Beach, CA seeks an Actuary & Director to lead major reinsurance activities within the Enterprise Reinsurance team. This on-site role (4 days/week, 1 day remote) interfaces with external reinsurers and senior internal stakeholders to shape strategic reinsurance programs.

Ideal candidates will have FSA/ASA, 10+ years in life insurance/reinsurance, and proven negotiation and leadership abilities to drive partnerships and financial performance.

Qualifikationen

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or ASA designation.
• 10+ years of life insurance, annuity, and/or reinsurance experience.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strategic, technical, and analytical mindset.
• Effective project management and ability to move multiple projects forward in parallel.

Aufgaben

• Serve as key business development contact with external reinsurance relationships.
• Work directly with executive leadership at third-party reinsurance partners.
• Manage reinsurance relationships for new business and in-force discussions.
• Act as reinsurance contact for internal partners and identify opportunities for partnerships.
• Collaborate with Product Design, Pricing, Underwriting, Risk, and other functions to engage the Reinsurance Team.
