Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an experienced Actuary to influence business strategy, lead complex E&S/S reserving analyses, and provide expert actuarial guidance across actuarial, finance, underwriting, pricing, and product teams.

You will translate advanced methodologies into actionable insights, lead cross-functional work plans, and help shape modeling capabilities while engaging with regulators and executives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science or related quantitative field.
• Actuarial designation, generally FCAS or equivalent.
• Seven or more years of actuarial experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, analytical software, programming languages, and actuarial tools.
• Experience presenting actuarial findings to senior leaders and varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analyses and influence broad strategic vison.
• Develop cross functional work plans and ensure accurate work product.
• Prepare and present actuarial findings to technical and non-technical audiences at leadership levels.
• Mentor associates and expand modeling capabilities.
• Advise on product development opportunities and data needs.
