Job summary

Westfield Insurance seeks an Actuarial Consultant to lead loss reserving, reporting, and R&D initiatives. You will collaborate with Claims, Financial Reporting, Investments, and IT to optimize reserving processes and support rating changes.

You will mentor analysts, oversee reserve analyses, and drive efficiency through tool development and automated workflows. 7+ years of actuarial experience and ACAS are required, FCAS preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of actuarial experience.
• ACAS certification required; FCAS preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Leads the assessment of loss and LEE reserves across lines of business.
• Performs reserve reviews and communicates indications to management.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline reserving processes.
• Develops and maintains reserving tools and templates.
• Conducts competitor benchmarking and industry research.
• Monitors regulatory developments and actuarial research.
• Mentors junior staff and guides project teams.
