Oliver James Associates Ltd. is partnering with a leading specialty insurer to appoint a Senior Actuarial Manager for its Workers' Compensation portfolio.

This is a senior, commercially focused actuarial role with responsibility across pricing, profitability monitoring and portfolio analytics, working closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and senior leadership. Ideal candidates will have 8–10+ years of P&C actuarial experience, strong Workers' Compensation pricing or reserving skills, ACAS

Qualifications

8-10+ years of P&C actuarial experience.
Strong Workers' Compensation pricing, reserving or portfolio experience.
ACAS required; FCAS preferred.
Strong commercial and stakeholder-facing capabilities.
Experience partnering with Underwriting and Claims.

Responsibilities

Leading actuarial analysis and strategy across the Workers' Compensation portfolio.
Developing pricing analyses, rate indications and profitability assessments.
Monitoring loss trends, claims development and underwriting performance.
Partnering with Claims to understand severity trends and key portfolio drivers.
Supporting forecasting, business planning and reinsurance strategy.
Presenting recommendations and insights to senior/executive stakeholders.
Managing and developing actuarial talent.
