Job summary

Oliver Wyman’s P&C Actuarial Insurance Practice seeks a consultant to develop, validate, and operationalize actuarial models, leveraging AI and advanced analytics. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geographies and deliver projects on a global basis.

The role offers opportunities to work with data scientists, engineers, and actuaries in pricing, reserving, and capital modeling, with hybrid work arrangements and relocation assistance where needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years actuarial experience; pursuing CAS with 5 passed exams.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• AI experience in modeling and analytics.
• Knowledge of Python, R, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams delivering actuarial solutions, including modernization and AI-enabled workflows.
• Analyze large, complex data to inform actuarial, operational and strategic decisions.
• Develop, evaluate, and refine actuarial models and methodologies.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with actuaries, engineers, data scientists to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure quality and compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Contribute to designing new tools, automation, and AI-enabled delivery approaches.
• Mentor junior colleagues and foster a culture of learning and excellence.
