Job summary
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver data-driven support for actuarial financial systems, ensuring data quality and accuracy across reporting and analytics. You will translate business needs into technical solutions and lead data initiatives within a collaborative team.
The role combines data mart maintenance, monthly validations, and development of decision-support outputs for medical and pharmacy claims.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of related field experience; 7+ years if no degree.
- 5+ years SQL development/analysis.
- Healthcare claims data experience, including Government and Commercial lines.
- Facets experience a plus.
- Experience leading project teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance and optimization of Actuarial Systems Data Marts.
- Run monthly data refreshes, validations and QA for actuarial reporting.
- Analyze business problems and implement data solutions.
- Develop decision-support outputs for medical and pharmacy claims data.
- Ensure auditable, snapshot data for audits.
- Coordinate with vendors and departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Lead multiple application areas and provide technical leadership.
- Serve as liaison during development and implementation.
- Provide detailed configuration expertise and stakeholder communication.
- Support analytics for departmental and corporate projects.
