Job summary

Voya Financial is hiring an experienced actuary to lead complex research, design and own profitability, reserve and valuation models. You will collaborate with Product, Modeling and Assumption teams to prepare memorandums for regulators and stakeholders, providing expert consultation on actuarial risk issues.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field, 3 actuarial exams and strong programming in Python/SQL/SAS with advanced Excel, VBA, and database tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex actuarial research, design methodologies and conduct audit-level reviews.
• Design, develop, and own profitability, reserve, and valuation models, procedures and/or similar processes.
• Develop and refine actuarial models; lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
• Prepare and validate actuarial memorandums for regulators with Product, Modeling and Assumption teams.
• Provide consultation on actuarial models and risk issues to senior actuaries and regulators.
• Participate in cross functional committees (risk, product, finance).
• Apply actuarial techniques to analyze and communicate research results.
• Monitor regulatory developments and perform experience studies.
• Extract and organize large data sets for analysis.
