Job summary

Ally Financial’s Detroit-area team is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to develop pricing and reserving frameworks and to independently lead projects from start to finish. You will communicate results to Management and Senior Leadership and may mentor an entry-level actuarial analyst.

The role requires ACAS progress, 4+ years of actuarial experience, and strong programming skills in SQL, R, and Python. Hybrid Detroit/remote work is available along with Ally’s comprehensive rewards and benefits.

Qualifications

• ACAS or near ACAS preferred; 5 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams required.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience; exposure to advanced ratemaking/reserving a plus.
• Programming skills in SQL/R/Python.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing and/or reserving framework development using standard actuarial techniques and advanced modeling.
• Lead, develop, and communicate advanced analytics to Management and Senior Leadership.
• Mentor and develop junior actuarial analysts; collaborate with product development, pricing, and reserving processes.
