Job summary

Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking an Actuarial Analyst Sr to provide pricing/rating support for Insurtech Programs. The role analyzes, evaluates, models and rates potential solutions and supports rate filings.

You will assist underwriters and management with results, assumptions and alternatives, while pursuing CAS exams. The team collaborates across actuarial pricing, modeling, and data insights, contributing to a dynamic risk management environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or related field.
• Passed four to six actuarial exams for Actuarial Analyst Senior level.
• ACAS for Associate Actuary level.
• At least four years of insurance/reinsurance and actuarial pricing experience.
• Good technical actuarial skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including PowerBI for ratemaking, pricing, modeling.
• Experience in Python, SAS, or R for insurance pricing.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pricing analyses with rates, loss projections and communicate results.
• Support development and updating of actuarial models and databases.
• Monitor results, pricing, and portfolio management projects for underwriters and management.
• Discuss and apply actuarial concepts including exposure rating, trend, loss development with guidance.
• Identify data issues requiring actuarial attention.
• Provide actuarial insight on Line of Business Expert Group.
• Pursue CAS exams and train others in analyses and methodologies.
