Job summary

Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking an Actuarial Analyst Sr to support Insurtech Programs with pricing analyses, model development, and rate filing activities in a dynamic team environment. The role emphasizes collaboration with underwriters and data analysts across multiple locations including NY, NJ, and CT.

The ideal candidate will hold a math/actuarial degree, have 4+ years pricing experience in insurance/reinsurance, and pursue CAS exams while advancing technical actuarial skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or related field.
• Passed four (4) to six (6) actuarial exams for Actuarial Analyst Senior level.
• ACAS for Associate Actuary level.
• At least four (4) years of insurance/reinsurance and actuarial pricing experience.
• Good technical actuarial skills.
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite, including PowerBI for ratemaking, pricing, modeling, or data analysis.
• Experience in Python, SAS, R or other statistical software in insurance pricing applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete pricing analyses with some guidance, including the development of rates, ultimate loss projections and communication of results.
• Support the development and update of Actuarial models and databases through formula development and research.
• Assist with result monitoring, pricing, and portfolio management projects for underwriters and management.
• Discuss and apply actuarial concepts involving exposure adjustments, trend, loss development, and exposure rating with guidance.
• Identify data issues requiring specialized actuarial attention.
• Provide actuarial insight as part of a Line of Business Expert Group.
• Pursue CAS exams and participate in training of others about analyses and methodologies.
