Job summary

Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking an Actuarial Analyst Sr to support pricing for the MRS-NA Insurtech Programs in the New York area, Hartford or Princeton. The role involves analyzing, modeling, and rating potential solutions and supporting rate filings for our program business.

The successful candidate will develop pricing analyses, participate in model updates, and communicate results to underwriters and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or related field.
• Passed four to six actuarial exams for Actuarial Analyst Senior level.
• ACAS for Associate Actuary level.
• At least four years of insurance/reinsurance and actuarial pricing experience.
• Proficient MS Office Suite, including PowerBI for ratemaking and data analysis.
• Experience in Python, SAS, R or other statistical software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pricing analyses and develop rates and loss projections.
• Update actuarial models and databases through formulas and research.
• Monitor results, pricing and portfolio management; communicate findings.
• Discuss exposure adjustments, trend and loss development with guidance.
• Identify data issues requiring actuarial attention.
• Provide actuarial insight as part of Line of Business Expert Group.
• Pursue Casualty Actuarial Society exams.
• Train underwriters, managers and analysts in actuarial methods.
