Job summary

Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking an Sr Actuarial Analyst to provide pricing support for Digital Underwriting. You will analyze, model, and rate potential solutions, supporting profitable growth across existing and new programs.

Work with underwriting, data science and engineering teams to resolve pricing model issues; present results to stakeholders and contribute to MRAP line of business discussions. NYC-based role with strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a math/actuarial/economics/business field.
Four CAS exams passed.
At least 3 years of insurance/reinsurance pricing experience.
Proficient MS Office, PowerBI for ratemaking and data analysis.
Experience with R/Python/SAS in pricing applications is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with business units to drive pricing excellence for Digital Underwriting across lines (E&S Homeowners, Commercial Property, GL).
Prepare pricing analyses including rates, loss projections and trend studies; communicate results to stakeholders.
Develop and update actuarial models and databases with formula development and methodology research.
Support pricing/portfolio management projects; document assumptions and results for stakeholders.
Identify data issues requiring actuarial attention during projects.
Research competitor rates and industry trends to benchmark pricing.
