Job summary

Strive Health seeks a Senior Analyst, Actuarial Underwriting to support actuarial functions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on evaluating new business opportunities. The role offers an actuarial study program to motivate and support exams and reports to the Senior Director, Actuarial.

The position focuses on developing opportunity assessments with business development, refining models with industry data, and evaluating financial terms of contracts while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in Actuarial services, Healthcare Economics, or related field.
• Minimum three completed actuarial exams.
• Internet connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down) latency.
• Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with business development to develop opportunity assessments for new clients or expansions.
• Refine the opportunity assessment model to leverage more industry data and operating assumptions.
• Support the contracting team by evaluating the financial impact of key contractual terms.
• Develop client-specific assumptions for new business as part of the broader Finance budgeting process.
• Partner with FP&A to refine operating model assumptions supporting new business evaluation.
• Represent Finance on the Strategic Pricing committee.
• Create and present materials for client presentations, clearly communicating Strive's impact.
• Partner with key stakeholders across Strive's Finance, Partner Success, and Growth functions to identify data-driven opportunities to add value to existing and potential partners.
• Present models and deliver insights/expertise to a diverse audience and communicate analyses and results to internal and external partners.
