Genesis HealthCare is looking for an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of patients and residents. You will plan and run engaging activities that address physical, creative, cognitive and social needs within a supportive team.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to engage with patients, families, staff, and visitors in a respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to engage with patients, families, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients and residents.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
