Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of patients and residents through engaging recreational activities.

You will plan, organize, and implement programs addressing physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs, while ensuring safety and quality of care. Responsibilities include designing monthly recreation therapy services input, recording attendance, and joining care plan meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients/residents.
• Provide input into monthly recreation therapy service design.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
