Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in the United States is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan, organize and implement engaging programs that address the physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of patients and residents.

You will document attendance, contribute to monthly recreation therapy planning, and participate in care plan meetings to support well-being and meaningful activity participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities that meet the needs of patients and residents.
• Provide input into the monthly recreation therapy services design.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation level in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
