Job summary

Avera St Benedict Nursing Home in Parkston, SD is seeking a PRN, part-time Activity Aide to assist in planning, organizing, and implementing an activity program that supports the physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being of residents. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to work the required hours.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, schedule activities, track attendance, provide one‑to‑one interactions, coordinate volunteers, and help transport residents to appointments

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing activity programs tailored to residents’ interests.
• Set up activity materials and make them available for all departments.
• Assist in scheduling and organizing activities.
• Record resident activity attendance and responses.
• Provide 1‑1 interactions and prepare weekly assessments.
• Suggest discussion topics to promote participation.
• Participate in quality of care activities.
• Coordinate with volunteers for supplies and transport residents to appointments.
