Job summary

St. Benedict Health Center is seeking a PRN Activity Assistant to support and implement resident activity programs in a nursing home setting. You will coordinate and participate in age-appropriate activities, maintain materials, and help residents engage in social, educational, and recreational events.

You will also assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, and one-on-one interactions to meet individual resident needs, while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to coordinate activities and adapt to individual resident needs.
• Understanding of safety and privacy requirements in a care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, organizing, developing and implementing activity programs for residents.
• Sets up activity materials and makes them available for all departments.
• Schedules activities and records attendance with timely notes.
• Provides 1-1 interactions for residents with low participation and special needs.
• Assists with transportation of residents to appointments and community events.
