Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a patient-focused activity coordinator to manage monthly calendars, engage residents in a variety of activities, and support daily living with enthusiasm. The role involves collaborating with a care team and ensuring activities meet regulatory standards while maintaining dignity and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.
• CNA certification preferred or currently enrolled in healthcare program.

Responsibilities

• Administers the monthly activity calendar.
• Solicits input from patients/residents for activity planning.
• Maintains activities in line with state requirements (music, craft, spiritual activities).
• Participates in activities suitable for patients/residents to support functioning and dignity.
• Assists with simple nursing procedures and transporting patients/residents.
• Assists with MDS/EPIC documentation.
• Displays creativity, leadership, and strong communication while following instructions.
• Plans and oversees utilization of resources and workflow design.
