Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a part-time Activities Aide to administer the monthly activity calendar for residents and patients. You will gather input, organize sessions, and assist with basic nursing support and transportation, ensuring dignity and engagement.

The role requires good communication, leadership, and the ability to work with diverse resident groups. CPR/BLS may be required depending on location; CNA preferred or student in health-related program.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.
• CNA certification preferred or enrolled in a healthcare-related program.

Responsibilities

• Administers the monthly activity calendar.
• Elicits patients/residents input into activity planning and keeps activities organized.
• Assists with simple nursing procedures and transporting patients/residents.
• Documents in MDS/EPIC per location requirements.
• Maintains dignity, identity and engagement through activities.
• Demonstrates leadership to develop and motivate people.
• Plans and oversees utilization of resources and work processes.
