ALIYA of Evanston is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to join our team in Evanston, Illinois. You will help create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for residents by assisting with recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, customer service, healthcare, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a genuine passion for working with the elderly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents as needed during activities.
• Must pass all required background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead daily recreational, social, educational, and group activities for residents.
• Encourage participation and provide one-on-one engagement for those unable to attend group activities.
• Prepare materials, decorate spaces, and assist with events and outings.
• Transport residents to activities and ensure safety and comfort.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
