Qualifications

• High School Diploma or experience; entry level position with 1–3 years preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative and passionate about working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physically able to sit, stand, kneel, walk and lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing, planning, and implementing a monthly program of activities and supplies.
• Leads 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Surveys residents to determine interests and satisfaction with activities.
• Coordinates with program team to plan calendars, events, and outings.
• Builds relationships with residents and families to promote participation.
• Maintains records and documents as required.
• Assists in organizing resident council meetings and activity spaces.
• Recruits and oversees a robust volunteer program.
• Promotes programs with daily notices and posters.
• Arranges equipment and transportation for activities and outings.
• Transports residents to groceries, appointments or outings when needed.
• Coordinates off-site outings with safe participant transport.
