Job summary

Resolve Harmony Center is seeking an Activity Assistant to help create a positive and engaging environment for residents. You will plan, organize, and lead recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

The role suits someone who enjoys working with seniors, is patient and creative, and is dedicated to providing exceptional resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, senior care, or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist residents during activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing daily recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Escort residents to and from activity programs as needed.
• Set up and clean activity areas before and after events.
• Assist with holiday celebrations, special events, outings, and community programs.
• Develop positive and professional relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Document resident participation and report concerns or changes to the Activities Director.
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment in an organized manner.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
