Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Permanence team working on the MK1 Lunar Lander. You will design, analyze, and test active thermal control components from concept through flight readiness, coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 5+ years of thermal experience; MS/PhD and 8+ years preferred. You will contribute to hardware development, validation, and manufacturability with strong

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of thermal engineering experience.
• Expertise in thermal and fluid design fundamentals.
• Experience building and testing thermal hardware.
• Understanding of aerospace hardware verification/validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop module and vehicle level active thermal components and assemblies from conception through development and flight operations.
• Support internal/external development of active thermal components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to mature designs.
• Work with thermal analysis group and mission environments.
• Produce specifications, plans and test reports.
• Analyze thermal performance using various methods.
• Develop short- and long-term development plans.
• Make make-or-buy decisions for thermal components.
