Job summary

VPSI seeks a Senior Program/Acquisition Specialist to support the LI2S-MC for the Marine Corps government sponsor. The role involves planning, acquisition strategy, and coordination with government and contractor staff to deliver complex program outcomes.

You will present technical and non-technical information, manage risk and schedules (IMS), and prepare PMRs and briefings while engaging with senior management and external agencies as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 8 years DoD Acquisition Management experience.
• DAWIA PM Level III or PMI PMP certification required.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and production of all activities associated with deliverables with strong written and oral communication.
• Risk management, contract development including development of performance work statement (PWS), acquisition strategy and maintaining LI2S-MC DITPR-DON submissions.
• Monitor performance and progress against plans, baselines, and requirements with Government.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting program/project cost, schedule, and performance.
• Coordinate budget, costing, acquisition and contract input for program/project cost, schedule and performance estimates and draft work products.
• Prepare and coordinate internal and external Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and briefings.
• Create and update guidance related to Program Management processes, roles, responsibilities, and business rules.
• Develop, analyze, and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) including validating task, resource, schedule realism, milestone dates, dependencies, and critical path.
• Engage with customer negotiations and interface with senior management.
• Participate in Risk, Issues, and Management processes, documentation, and analysis.
