Job summary

APi Inc is seeking an Accounts Receivable Lead in New Brighton, MN to manage the billing process for construction projects and ensure accurate invoicing. You will work with project management, accounting, and shared services to verify data and support collections, while identifying process improvements.

The role requires 3–5 years in A/R or billing within construction, strong Excel skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Assoc. or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or construction management.
• 3-5 years of accounts receivable or billing experience in construction.
• Experience with contract and progress billing.
• Proficiency in accounting and project management software; strong Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct workload across shared services to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with project managers and estimators to gather billing information and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and implement process improvements for billing and A/R processes.
• Prepare and process invoices for construction projects, ensuring contract-term alignment and change orders.
• Review and reconcile contract documents, purchase orders, and payment applications before billing.
• Administer invoices per client formats (e.g., AIA forms, progress billings).
• Monitor billing milestones, retainage, and change orders for compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activity and contracts for audits.
